
If your pets license expires June 30, 2025, please make sure to renew your pets license. Pet license applications & payment may only be submitted through the mail or in person during the month of June. Effective July 1, 2025, a $10.00 late fee will be accrued along with the pet license fee upon submitting application.
If your pet needs an updated rabies vaccine, the Paramus Health Department will be hosting a FREE rabies clinic on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm at the Paramus Life Safety Complex at 1 Carlough Drive, Paramus, NJ 07652.
**We will not be accepting pet licensing applications at the clinic**
Certificate of rabies vaccination must be provided in accordance with New Jersey State Law and will be returned to you with your license. If you no longer have a pet, please submit the form below.
Pet license fees are as follows:
1 Year License Neutered/Spayed (Rabies Vaccination must NOT expire before April 30, 2026) – Fee $12.00
1 Year Non-Neutered/Non-Spayed (Rabies Vaccination must NOT expire before April 30, 2026) – Fee $15.00
3 Year License Neutered/Spayed (Rabies Vaccination must NOT expire before April 30, 2028) – Fee $30.00
3 Year Non-Neutered/Non-Spayed (Rabies Vaccination must NOT expire before April 30, 2028) – Fee $40.00
If the rabies vaccination expires before these dates, you will need to have your pet revaccinated before a license can be obtained.
It is important to be aware that rabies is still present in wild animals in Bergen County. It is therefore vital that all cats and dogs be vaccinated and licensed.
When will my pets license expire?
*A 1-year license is valid July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026*
*A 3-year license is valid Jully 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028*

- Proof of rabies vaccination
