Annual Rabies Vaccination Program

The Paramus Health Department has announced that its annual rabies vaccination program will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023. The annual program is open to Paramus residents, and serves to vaccinate cats and dogs residing in the Borough. The clinic will be held from 5pm to 7pm at the Paramus Life Safety Complex located at 1 Carlough Drive, Paramus, NJ.

Rabies is a viral disease that can be fatal to mammals including cats, dogs, and humans. Ensuring that cats and dogs receive the rabies vaccine is the best way to protect pets, families, and the community. The fee for a 1 year license is $12.00 for pets that have been spayed or neutered, and $15.00 for a non-neutered or non-spayed pet. The fee for a 3 year license is $30.00 for pets that have been spayed or neutered, and $40.00 for a non-neutered or non-spayed pet.

Residents interested in participating in the rabies vaccination program should visit paramusborough.org/159/Dog-Cat-Licensing and complete the Pet License Application form. This form should be printed and brought to the vaccination program, along with proper payment for licensing in cash, or a check made out to the Paramus Health Department. Applications can also be picked up at the Health Department, and will be made available at the program.
